Canvas of Thirst

After hours lost in galleries vast,
Where sculptures danced and paintings passed,
My mind a palette, overflows,
With every brushstroke, every pose.

Conversations, thick with thought,
With artists, collectors, stories caught.
Ideas swirl, a vibrant storm,
In colors wild, in shapes reborn.

But now, the canvas calls for rest,
A simple wish, an artist's quest.
To trade the chatter for a brew,
To sip on something crisp and true.

Oh, to sit and draw a glass,
Not from taps behind the bar’s brass,
But at my table, pull the line,
And watch the golden liquid shine.

A dream, a pint, a moment mine,
Where art and thirst at last align.
Let others paint with oil and ink,
Tonight, I only wish to drink.
